CS299 is a student-directed course (“independent study”) focusing on in-depth study of specific topics, conducting a survey, or building something new. Students typically develop this course in conjunction with a faculty advisor based on mutual interests.

In these studies, I advise students on software engineering, software architecture, data management, web services, distributed systems, and other related topics. Interested students are welcome to bring informal proposals around mid-term in the semester prior to the semester in which the study will be conducted.
