In Germany lore, it&#8217;s the Mahr.  Greece calls it Ephialtes, but in England it is simply known as &#8220;Nightmare&#8221;.  This is a demonic entity that casues a paralytic effect on touch and typically attacks during the victims slumber.  It will sit on it&#8217;s victims chest making them unable to move until they are crushed to death.  It matches the description of a sleep paralysis attack, however the Cauchemar&#8217;s appearacne varies from person to person.<\/p>\n<h2>How to Attract a Cauchemar:<\/h2>\n<p>Some stories say these demons are attracted to bad people however research indicates this is an old wives tale.  Hunter&#8217;s are currently being asked to perform their own research at their own risk.<\/p>\n<h2>How to Repel a Cauchemar:<\/h2>\n<p>There are a few methods that can ward off these beasts.
