With a polished logo and redesigned website, SGA prepares for its first steps into the 2019-2020 year.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.wcsu.edu\/sga\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/42\/2019\/07\/SGA-WCSU-Email-Signature-1024x295.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-210\" \/><figcaption>Updated SGA Logo to match WCSU Visual Style Guide<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sustainability, Productivity, and Efficiency<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>SGA will be making an effort to reduce its carbon footprint through more environmentally-friendly practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Printed SGA meeting materials will be supplied as requested<\/li><li>Use of OneDrive, X Drive, SurveyMonkey, and Presence to distribute and collect advertisements and feedback<\/li><li>Advertisement will be transitioning to 95% digital, discontinuing paper flyers<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>SGA will be increasing its efforts to promote a diversity-friendly environment &#8211; both in physical form in the SGA office as well as in communications. We hope to foster a dynamic working environment along with inclusive practices to ensure an utmost welcoming, comfortable productive environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Additional use of pronouns in Governing Documents<\/li><li>Prompts for pronouns and preferred names in SGA applications and member information sheets<\/li><li>Diversity and Equity seminars in SGA Leadership Training<\/li><li>Signage of a LGBTQIA+ friendly environment<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Representation, Conversation, and Innovation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>SGA will be working to bridge communication to the WCSU community through website updates, emails to the student body, and social media posts. We also will be encouraging two-way communication through distribution of surveys to measure student relations and satisfactions with SGA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Surveys for Finance and Rules Hearings<\/li><li>Surveys for Event and Programming Feedback<\/li><li>Creation of strategy development process to fulfill unmet needs<\/li><li>Education in WordPress, SurveyMonkey, and Presence to encourage campus-wide use of resources not only SGA<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SGA will be spear-heading initiatives in an effort to modernize, adapt, and engage to our evolving campus starting Summer 2019.
